6th Pakistan-UK Regional Stabilization Conference
Pakistan's army chief, General Asim Munir, met with the United Kingdom's Chief of the General Staff (CGS), General Patrick Sanders, during the opening session of the 6th Pakistan-UK Regional Stabilization Conference at the National Defense University.
The conference, a flagship defense and security dialogue alternatively hosted by the two states, brings together experts from various fields. Currently, a 30-member UK delegation is visiting Pakistan in connection with the conference.
Discussions at this year's conference have expanded from bilateral to regional issues, with defense officials from both countries participating.
During the meeting, General Munir discussed measures to further enhance bilateral defense ties with General Sanders and the British CGS-designate, General Roland Walker. General Munir expressed gratitude to General Sanders for his efforts in enhancing bilateral military ties and congratulated General Walker on his nomination as the next CGS of the UK Army.
