I think the Iranians dont put the same stock into single personalities and believe more in the process and relentless pressure and numbers.
They've taken so many hits over decades.
Has that stopped them or slowed them down?
I see the point @Lulldapull is making. About a decisive incursion breaking their (Israeli) back. I believe they have zero strategic depth for their population.
It might well become a modern epoch exodus once again.
Only this time the Persians won't be there to save them.
