I don't pay heed to passport rankings, there is a lot of politics involved, a bit of racism too, sadly. It is what it is.

More to do with 'propaganda' and 'feelz' than reality. And of course numbers of illegal border crossing attempts by citizens of source countries like in South Asia.

Instead of spending money on Propaganda, countries in South Asia should start providing jobs to their poor so they don't have to leave. No one willingly leaves their own country using illegal means considering the tough life and risks etc.
