I tried to shift my stuff to JC in the early days. But it was too cumbersome and in retrospect I realise the Jihadi admins simply wanted to use us to migrate and populate their new forum.

Speaking of saving for posterity, I suggested to admins to set time limit for editing threads and individual posts. Presently the setting is such that OP can delete entire thread even after indefinite period of time.
