You know how Modi and Jayshankar insulted US cold bloodedly. They have not produced any world beating weapon for decades. They still use planes and weapons made decades ago while China and Particularly India has come up with extraordinary systems in last one or 2 decades. India has over one dozen hypersonic missile project spread across full spectrum of all sort of missiles. US is no more the sole superpower. Many powerful nations have emerged in this multipolar world. US is even unable to control Iran. The problem with US and west is that they are unable to accept that they don't enjoy the power and status they used to enjoy 3 decades back. Asia is emerging and they don't give any sh** to US.

Not sure about the secret agreement, even less so about defence tech, but long standing ties hain, friendly ones. Oil trade bhi chal raha hai, we've come up with various mechanisms for payment outside the (((global system))), payment, in INR or Ruble or currencies outside the US' control, a bit of 'barter' too.
