Well when you start working in the US - you let me know how you can manage...."do as in Rome" only "works a little" and not a lot.

I am heavily invested with Real estate and other investments in this country, am a "model minority" of sorts in the US, have my own circle of highly placed (some would say moderately wealthy) desi friends. Not much leeway to go anywhere else for now even if the entire US gets to be a MAGA hellhole.

I hear property in Japan is dirt cheap, so the suburbs of Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka or Nagoya maybe good investments for a summer home.

@Lulldapull what say you brother, where would you sink your money preferably?

No yaar. Japan is the last place to purchase property. The homes never appreciate and half a million Japanese die off every year.

Migrants are not allowed and there is no demand outside of the busy metro areas.

Tokyo is expensive like LA expensive. In about a generation or so Japan would literally halve its population.

I'm here because wifey is Japanese and the rest of the far east ain't really first world so to speak.

You can buy a home here for a dollar in a dying town far out, but that comes with strings attached, like every neighbor is old and frail and you're expected to help out in community things.

Don't get me wrong.......this is one of the best countries on this planet, but it has its own set of unique challenges.

You gotta learn Japanese and be mild mannered and soft spoken and respect everyone and be a well dressed clean/ hygienic gentleman.
